XWiki (http://www.xwiki.org) is a wiki that has powerful extensibility features such as scripting in pages and plugins. It is also a powerful development platform that allows you to customize the wiki to your specific needs. Wikis enable students and teachers to create content online using easily understandable and collaborative tools. As such its use cases in education are diverse: collaborative work, knowledge base, CMS, public debate, collaborative creation of courses, web site creation, etc.

The LTI XWiki integration sets up a specific wiki space for each course, and lets teachers to administrate this space (i.e. Wiki skins, language, plug-ins and others) and students to edit and create pages collaboratively.
